War Horse was Founded in 2019. I got the idea from a guy i looked up to a lot growing up, Jason Starr. His team would give out WWE belts after Ws. As silly as it was picking up a horse head on a stick, the guys loved the idea and it’s stuck ever since. The War Horse Player of the Year is now an award we give out at the end of the season, they’ll even get their own person War Horse. The idea behind it is kind of like a “game ball.” It goes out to the person that gave it their all during the game, weather it be on the court, on the bench, a role player, a sub going into the game and playing lights out, etc. It gives the guys something to look forward too after a big W and its also a good team bonding tool. I’m proud to have brought War Horse to Casteel Men’s Volleyball and I can’t wait to continue losing my voice during the speeches! #WarHorse 🏐🐴
