Opening weekend for Auburn Softball was the debut of a few new uniform pieces.⁣ ⁣ After a season and a half of wearing socks with large Northwestern stripes, the Tigers are now wearing much thinner stripes. The thinner stripes wrap around the leg closer to the ankle, below the Under Armour logo.⁣ ⁣ 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the Softball program's beginnings, so the Tigers are wearing a commemorative patch on the right sleeves. The anniversary patch replaces the Auburn Unity patch from last season, which has been moved to the back of the helmet.⁣ ⁣ The batting helmets also are adorned with a memorial decal in honor of Dr. Jane B. Moore, the namesake of the team's stadium. Moore passed away in July at the age of 85.⁣ ⁣ Auburn has recently worn a new helmet design each year.
