Our third year of the Batting Cleanup event was a major success. Together with our partners, we were able to guide over 1,100 MLB academy athletes through virtual education programs on ocean literacy and environmental stewardship that culminated in hands-on experiences at beach cleanups throughout the Dominican Republic. Many thanks to @scj and @brewers for once again leading the charge in supporting us with Batting Cleanup. At our final cleanup of the year last Saturday, 150 volunteers, including young prospects from the @brewers and @athletics academies, removed almost 500 pounds of marine and plastic debris from Playa Montesinos and Fuerte San Gil. These volunteers were side-by-side with the likes of some of the Dominican’s brightest young stars in @w_franco_4 @willy2802, and veteran superstars @robinsoncano and @ncboomstick23.
