Meet Mrs. Nadina Johnston, who comes to O’Connell with interesting experiences–from volunteer work in an archaeology lab, to Capitol Hill, and to teaching American history in Alexandria public schools. Most recently, she taught American history and Catholic Church history to seventh and eighth graders at St. Thomas More Cathedral School. This summer she volunteer-taught immersion English at a summer camp for students in Załęcze Wielkie, which is a small town located in central southern Poland. Mrs. Johnston is a 1993 graduate of Bishop O’Connell–the place that first sparked her interest in history! She holds a B.A. in Anthropology with a Historical Archeology Concentration (George Mason University) and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (Marymount University). Did You Know?
