We immediately felt like best friends and had to keep reminding ourselves it had only been a day. We talked and saw each other everyday since then until one night she came to my room to look for some cold medicine that she said she left (I later learned the medicine was in her backpack the whole time) and asked me out on her way back. I remember feeling so giddy I laid back on my bed and replayed what just happened in my mind over and over again. From there, we were so nervous it took us a week and a half to gather the courage to actually plan a date. The first “I love you” came about a month later and continued everyday since. We’ve been together now for 8 months and I’ve never experienced happiness like this before.
