To put this into perspective the Nyan Cat meme was minted and sold for around $590,000 and David After Dentist sold for around $11,500. The difference here is that that Nyan cat and David are still accessible as the original video on YouTube while Charlie and his finger will cease to exist on the platform in the next few days. The idea that 'Charlie' will be premaritally removed from YouTube could have been the driving force that led this meme to sell for the amount it did.
