Balcer’s movement off the ball, and her decisiveness inside the box has proven to be a problem for defenses all over the league, and last night was no exception. Fourth on the standings, but the Reign are closing the gap game by game. Only 2 points separate the Seattle side from league leaders San Diego Wave, and only 2 points keep them away from slipping down into 6th place. With almost every team having reinforced their roster in the off-season, this year has proven to be a battle both at the top and the bottom of the table, and it still may be too early to predict a clear favorite in the title race.
