This is a tough lesson I learned from the late @trevormoawad . And it’s a tough lesson to learn in whatever field you’re working in. This idea of “naturals” and “they’re born with it” is a myth I think we like to believe in. It makes for great stories. Are some people born with innate gifts? Absolutely. But as you compete at higher and higher levels, that matters less and less. Everybody is talented. The truly great ones get behind their behaviors, far more often then they get behind their talents. The truly great ones. In every field. And most of the time committing to behaviors doesn’t mean workout montages. It means boring stuff, and it means boring stuff every day. It means constantly seeking an angle or a better way. The great ones think about things in terms of efficiency. “How can I do this better, with less time commitment?” Whoever is willing to do the most of it, usually ends up separating themselves at the highest levels. #colincowherd #theherd #tombrady #tb12 #...
