I have had the opportunity to be the first student to ever be selected in hiring a CU Boulder Police executive alongside Chief Jokerst and the committee. My hope is that the hiring of the new CUPD commander will result in strong leadership and progressive action in line with the student efforts thus far. The Oversight Task Force is still underway alongside the hiring process and is scheduled to implement the first Oversight Board of its kind on a college campus in early 2021.
