Be Intentional. It’s one of my favorite words (intentional). Train, move, speak, do with purpose. Throughout my marathon prep I treated every run and workout with intention. If I had an easy run that day I made sure I was running below my max aerobic heart rate. If I had a workout that day I treated it like it was race day - from mindset to nutrition. I locked in my race day nutrition weeks ago and tested it on all my big workouts (18-22 miles with marathon paces). Pre-race nutrition (about 1 hour and 45 minutes before the start): - 1 bagel with almond butter and honey - 1 banana - 2 scoops of @bpnsupps G.1.M Sport - 3 scoops of @bpnsupps Electrolytes Have a plan, rehearse the plan, execute.
