On Saturday, calutdstrikers kicked off their spring season with a 1-0 victory against Michigan Stars FC. In a game valid for the National Independent Soccer Association (nisasoccer ), the Strikers overcame a physical opponent in their home opener thanks to a goal by midfielder Kevin Jeon. Midway through the second half, 15-year-old Shane Kaemerle, the youngest ever professional signing in NISA history, made his debut for Cal United Strikers. Kaemerle had a positive performance, and he will look to continue to improve as he gets more experience in a fast and physical league like NISA. Cal United will hope to build upon this positive start to the season when they face San Diego 1904 on the road this Sunday.
