Following a decisive 3-0 win at MBS in the first leg, Atlanta United traveled to Harrison, NJ, to seal the tie against the @newyorkredbulls. Despite falling 1-0 to the hosts, Atlanta United came away with some silverware and a ticket to MLS Cup (which they would eventually win). Defeating the RBNY in the Conference Finals was an especially sweet victory for Atlanta, considering how the Red Bulls had snatched the Supporters’ Shield away from Atlanta in the final matchday of the regular season. With the formidable Miggy - Martinez duo commanding a well-rounded squad, Atlanta United seemed destined to reach MLS Cup.
