The Lions roar once more. It’s been months since their playoff defeat at the hands of Nashville, but Orlando City came out ready to leave those ghosts in the past. With Nani’s departure and Kaká in attendance, all eyes were on Pato to fill in as the main man in central Florida. He hadn’t quite hit the ground running, but yesterday he showed signs of what he can provide. It wasn’t the dazzling type of goal that we’d expect from vintage Pato, but it’ll do. Simple finish to round off a well-worked team play and off to celebrate. Ten minutes later, Benji Michel added a second for good measure, and Orlando cruised to their first victory of the season.
