Foxborough, MA. It was the place to be last night. Two of the best teams going into the playoffs traded blows throughout an enthralling 120 minutes, keeping us all at the edge of our seats. In what could easily be the best game of the playoffs so far, it felt unfair for either team to lose. With the score locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes, a Taty Castellanos header in extra time seemed like a dagger to the New England faithful. But his sending off just minutes later gave new life to the Revs, and Tajon Buchanan would end up playing hero in the 118’ leveling the score at 2-2 and sending this Conference Semifinal to penalties. Sean Johnson made the only save in the shootout, and Alex Callens hammered in NYCFC’s last penalty to send New York to their first-ever conference final. As for the Revs, their record-setting season comes to an end. History made, history broken. 📸: pdbonilla lukestergiouphoto #nycfc #newenglandrevolution #newenglandsoccer #nycfcfamily #nycfcsupporters #gilettes...
