It was a fairytale NWSL debut for Angel City FC last night. 22,000 souls packed Banc of California Stadium to welcome their club to the biggest stage. Gilles and Endo were responsible for putting two in the net early, but the goals might as well have been scored by the crowd. The supporters created an atmosphere worthy of the moment, and the players rose to the occasion. Debinha pulled one back for NC Courage early in the second half, but there was nothing that could spoil the party. Angel City saw out the win, and the dream NWSL debut was complete.
