@jessthemaker, has been riding for 10 years, this past February, she signed up for her first MTB race.
“A lot of my fear was deeply rooted in the insecurities I felt about myself. I lacked the confidence and courage to step out of my comfort zone. I was fearful of racing because I cared way too much about the outcome. I was concerned that if I didn’t do well that it was a reflection of how good of a mountain biker I was.”
