Feeling doubt is natural, especially when you’re trying to have a baby and you just can’t seem to get pregnant. But a few mindset shifts can help you overcome those feelings and turn them into something positive.
Practice mindfulness: When you learn to tune into your real thoughts and feelings, you can start to pinpoint where your doubt is coming from. That will let you know where to start doing the deep work to address those feelings.
Affirmations: It may feel silly, but look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you are capable and your body is capable of doing what it is meant to do. Will this magically fix your fertility? No, but it will help you regain confidence and trust in your own body.
Knowledge: When doubt creeps in, come at it with facts. There are so many different pathways to parenthood. Even if the worst case scenario comes true – your doubt is right and you can’t conceive – that just opens up new, different paths to parenthood.
