As a former jumper, Oregon head coach Robert Johnson focuses on coaching the jumpers in addition to his overall team responsibilities. On Day Two of the Pac-12 Championships, Johnson provides immediate feedback to tweak upcoming jumps. Alysah Hickey said of her relationship with Johnson, "When I was recruited here, I felt a special bond with Coach Johnson, and I've always wanted to go to a place where me and my coach were close. And me and Coach Johnson are best friends." Hickey and Dominique Ruotolo took first and second in the women's long jump.
