I’m fortunate to have fished and explored almost all 50 states in the US. Most of these visits are oriented around tournaments and shoots, but every now and then I find myself with a week or two of “free time”, where I’m able to look at a map, load up and go. When it comes to September, I almost always head north. Escaping the southern heat is an obvious reason, but there are many others. I’m a Northwoods girl at heart, and as soon as you step foot in Boulder Junction in northern Wisconsin and breathe in the pine air, life slows down. The eclectic little shops, old fashioned supper clubs, and loons singing the sun down over the cabin lined lakes, give meaning to simpler times. These are reasons that when I could go anywhere I wish, I come here. This place offers true rejuvenation for the adventurer’s soul, and accommodates all things outdoors.
