After only playing two years of baseball with one scholarship offer out of high school, Tim Anderson never thought it would lead to this.
Everyone saw Tim Anderson’s potential as a baseball player; it just took time for Tim to see it too. Even though TA7 went out for baseball, he initially wanted to focus on basketball. It took some convincing from a friend for Tim to try out for the baseball team at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. His junior year he rode the bench until he got his start in left field then finished out his senior season at second base. Tim Anderson went on to play at East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi on a baseball scholarship, his sole offer out of high school. After consistently putting up big numbers at East Central and Jayhawk Summer League in Kansas, Tim started to get looks from Major League scouts.
