Week Three Keys to Victory vs the Bills:
Contain Josh Allen: Washington struggled when Daniel Jones got out of the pocket last week. Allen, who’s known more to get out of the pocket and have a backyard style of play, cannot get into a grove by making big plays on the ground with his legs. The former first round pick has had some accuracy issues in the first two weeks, so Washington’s defense can’t let the Bills offense start hot.
Controlling the Tempo of the Game: Washington needs to be able to take care of the ball better in week three. They’ve had two backbreaking turnovers on their own side of the field in the 4th quarter during the first two games. Washington needs to get their run game going as well with Antonio Gibson. JD McKissic should continue to see his role increased too. Doing all of these things will be key to controlling the tempo vs the Bills.
