5) Marty Hurney was another front office executive that Rivera wanted to add to the organization. Being able to bring Hurney in as something other than GM is huge because it allowed Rivera to get both Hurney and Mayhew, but also gave him someone in the building he’s worked with before. Hurney has a lot of experience and can help guide the roster as well as help Mayhew in his second tenure as general manager. 4) Washington desperately needed to upgrade the receiver position, and it feels like the position is overhauled going into the 2021 season. It’ll be interesting to see how this staff uses Samuel the second time around. Paired with McLaurin, Samuel should see more opportunities come his way.
