When COVID-19 spectator restrictions started hitting last year, Durwood Tenny, father of junior Lane Tenny, was shocked to see the lack of parents at sporting events. Tenny wanted to make the events more accessible by livestreaming and photographing sports at Lafayette. “St. Louis Sports Photography was born, featuring me and my intro digital single-lens reflex camera camera and my new social media handle @lancerfanphotos ,” Tenny said. “I started live streaming and taking pictures of every athlete at these events like they were my own son. Then I was trying to figure out how to process the photos and distribute them to the parents. My heart truly was heavy with the parents missing out on their athlete's season and the kids missing out on the pride that they feel when they see their parents' response to their efforts.
